The system adopts a Bring Your Own Key (BYOK) approach, offering seamless integration with leading AI providers such as OpenAI, and Google Vertex AI, while also supporting locally hosted AI models. Using your own API keys gives you full control over AI usage costs, improves transparency and predictability, and allows you to select the most appropriate solution based on data protection, privacy, and compliance requirements.
How does the search work?
The system uses intelligent, semantic search, which finds relevant content based on the meaning of documents rather than just keywords. It combines vector-based search with traditional keyword search (BM25) to ensure you always get the best results. Automatic re-ranking further enhances relevance, while dataset-level filtering allows for targeted and precise answers.
What is the difference between Search, Deep Research, and Chat modes?
Search mode provides fast, targeted answers to individual questions, with AI-generated responses and precise references that can even be exported in professional PDF format. Chat mode, on the other hand, offers a context-aware, conversational experience ideal for exploring complex topics, analyzing multiple documents, and conducting deeper research. In Deep Research, the AI agent conducts a fully autonomous, multi-step investigation based on the question asked. While this uses more tokens than simple Search, it delivers a more detailed and comprehensive answer, especially for complex queries.
